I’m really disappointed the Cardinals didn’t win the Super Bowl, but at least the commercials were entertaining. Of course, they couldn’t match the excitement of the last few minutes of the game. Below, I talk about a few of the commercials I noticed – some good, some bad.

And thanks to Hulu, which has posted all the Super Bowl commercials.

Bridgestone Tires

Though I’m not crazy about the stereotypical complaining wife, I thought this commercial for Bridgestone Tires featuring Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head was clever. I especially liked Mrs. Potato Head’s switch to angry eyes at the end.

Bud Light

We’ve all heard about the big Hollywood stars who go to Japan or whatever to film commercials (a la “Lost in Translation”). So the idea of the goofy Conan O’Brien dolled up in eyeliner and tight pants is funny, and could conceivably happen.

Audi

I didn’t find this commercial particularly compelling, but I found the casting of action star Jason Statham a brilliant decision.

Monster

Actually made me laugh out loud. And so true, right?

Coke Zero

This one was a play on the Mean Joe Green Coke commercial from1979. I thought it was neat that Coke was being irreverent with its brand.

Pepsi

It’s not a good commercial, not even funny really. But I gotta mention the awesomeness that is Richard Dean Anderson making fun of himself.

Disliked: Doritos

I never really like Doritos commercials. Setting aside the whole making a woman’s clothes fall off thing (which has been done better), wasn’t turning a police officer — who was just doing his job — into a monkey really mean spirited?

Bonus: Movie trailers

Thought I’d also post the movie trailers I saw that grabbed my interest. They are:
